Are you looking to broaden your knowledge of underglazes application and glazes - learning how to create interesting surfaces with depth and movement? Then join us for an exciting day full of exploring the possibilities of pattern, prints and pots taught by renowned Ceramic Artist Emily Stubbs. Course details Morning Session: Learn how to observe your surroundings, focusing your attention to detail to create your own, unique, shapes and patterns. You will learn various techniques such as monoprinting, screen printing and texture printing onto clay, building these shapes and patterns up into your own unique print. Fun, exploratory exercises to loosen up your mark making, and build up your knowledge of surface decorating techniques. Lunch Break Afternoon Session: Emily will take you through various handbuilding and decorating techniques in clay, enabling you to build your own vessel. Drawing from the skills learnt in the morning session Emily will direct you through translating your pattern and print into glazing techniques to decorate your finished pot.
