Starting in October 2021, Croft Pottery will offer a range of wheel throwing and hand building courses aimed at different levels and age groups.
We will run weekly evening and day time courses, one day courses as well as weekend and residential courses.
We will also run advance courses in making, Glazing and firing.

Service Description
A Pottery course ideal for beginners and those wanting a refresh to get back into working on the wheel. Duration: 4 weeks When: Tuesday evenings 18:00 – 20:30 Dates: Course: Tuesday 7th - 28th May 2024 Course overview: On this course you will learn how to ‘throw’ clay to make basic pot forms such as cylinders and bowls. You will be introduced to throwing techniques and have approximately two to three sessions to throw a range of pots. During the second half of the course you will learn to ‘Turn’ or ‘Trim’ drying pots to finish off your pieces. Pots will be glazed for you due to the short nature of the course. The first session will be group taught but the course then moves towards individual tuition to help you perfect your technique.
